When to contact your health care provider

Back pain in and of itself is a common condition during pregnancy but you should be aware of certain situations in which you should contact your health care provier.
If you experience any of the folowing:

Intense back pain

Acute, abrupt back pain

Rythmic pain or cramping (this could be an indication of labor)

Before taking any medications for the relief of pain (prescribed or over the counter)
